Faulkner May Seek Return to Citadel With Other Women
Shannon Faulkner says she may reapply to The Citadel only if other women join her. She filed a court affidavit seeking dismissal from a 1993 suit challenging the all male admissions policy. The Citadel opposes including additional women and a November trial will decide if Converse College’s leadership program can serve as an alternative.

Price of cocaine price hike linked to Cali arrests
The New York Times reports rising cocaine prices as supply tightens after Cali cartel leaders were arrested in Colombia. Wholesale costs climb from 18,000 to 26,000 per kilogram in New York, with Detroit seeing 22,000 to 32,000, and street prices up from 50 to 80 per gram. Dealers say sugar or baking powder is used to stretch limited supplies. Officials cite disrupted shipments and midlevel traffickers delaying due to fear of informants and leniency deals.
