Four Groups Resume Meetings of Women’s Council
The four groups of the Women’s Council of the First Christians church resumed after summer. Ra chel group met at Mrs. Frank Crawford’s home to study Be Ye Doers of the Word and discuss a bazaar scheduled for November 29. Esther and Lydia groups held concurrent activities with devotionals, programs on cooperation and home missions, and plans for upcoming meetings and sales tax stamps. The St Mary’s Altar and Rosary Society opened with a tureen dinner and heard Mrs Eugene MacCarthy speak on The Role of Catholic Women in Today’s Crisis, with a slate of upcoming events and a fish fry and a Halloween record party scheduled.
