Amish boy killed in house fire in Nashville
A 1 year old Amish boy, Levi Yoder, died in a Nashville house fire. His mother Susie 25 and sisters Edna 4 and Emma 3 were flown to Akron Children's Hospital with severe burns. Emma suffered 65 percent burns. the others over 85 percent. Fire officials cited a spark from fumes from a cleaning solution, likely from a wood fired water heater or gasoline engine. State patrol Lt. Timothy Hubbell under investigation for alleged computer misuse in Findlay district.

The Lorain County Historical Society women’s group will hand out Ridgelawn Cemetery tour guides at the Apple Festival. Stamp-columnist Bob Frederick produced the guides which also will be sold at Court Street Cafe. The guide covers cemetery history, a map, and plots of Elyria pioneers the Elys, with notes on lost tombstones the city lacks records for since 1910 and a Civil War monument with local graves.
