Yeager breaks school rushing record in EC win at Midview
Elyria Catholic star Bruce Yeager roared for 227 yards and three touchdowns as the Panthers rallied past Midview 27 13, pushing his career total to 1 962 yards and surpassing the previous mark set by Jer ry McHugh. The victory avenged last year’s loss and came behind two pivotal fumbles that swung momentum in EC’s favor before Yeager sealed the win with multiple long runs and a late 43 yard score. Midview injuries to QB Bob Wales and star Rick Renuart limited the visitors, while EC capitalized with a 70 yard Bernie Yeager dash and key scores to lead 27 7 late.
