Computer mating for marriage a risky new business idea
A reader asks CY Barrett about launching a computer based mate matching franchise. He outlines startup costs around 20000 and potential 20000 annual returns, notes a gender skew in registrations, questions market saturation and data privacy, and cites that only 5 percent of opposite sex matches are truly compatible. He wonders if America is ready for computer matching of mates and how to price enrollments.
