Five McGhee Family Members Die in Ohio Fire
Five members of the McGhee family died in an explosion and fire that destroyed their air-room frame dwelling on Baumhart road near Amherst. Mother Ethel McGhee and her seven month old son William Larry died at 2:30 pm. Dorothy 12, died last night at Amist Hospital. Arthur 26, was burned saving the baby and remains critical. Sheila Mae 3 and Shirley Ann 5 died in the blaze. Three boys escaped unharmed and are with relatives. Funeral services Sunday at Zilch Funeral Home Nazarene church. Bodies to be shipped to Caruthersville Missouri for burial.

First Hunting Accident Of Season Reported
Forwood Bartlome, 24, of 326 St 27th Street Lorain, became the county's first hunting victim of the season. He was treated at Amherst Hospital at 11 AM for shotgun wounds to the shoulder neck and head suffered during a blast fired by Anthony I Stanzo of South Amherst while they hunted squirrels near Foster Park and Dewey.
