Injured Elyrians in Friday Auto Crash Near Ridgeville Center

Mrs Edward Krughman, Mrs Thomas Flynn, and Mr Krughman suffered serious and severe injuries when an east bound Braley Automobile Co. shipment veered into their car four miles east of Ridgeville Center on the Cleveland road. Mrs Krughman faced internal injuries and possible pneumonia, while Mrs Flynn and Mr Krughman endured bruises. The Braley crew transported the injured to Memorial hospital.

The two men who assaulted and fired Orlando Hurst on September 6 have been captured in Jacksonville Florida. Police report their names as J. H. Gordon and W. E. Goehring and say they used a stolen machine matching a dark sedan description. They apparently fled south after the crime.

Methodist Laymen Name Delegates at Lakewood Session

The Northeast Ohio conference elected two delegates to the Methodist General Conference in Springfield Mass. J F Burke of Elyria, third highest with 203 of 288, joins Rev Edwin Kirby as delegates from Elyria. The conference also named reserve delegates D L George and F S Johnson. Bald-Wal College in Berea was visited as part of conference activities.

Second Suit Aims 10000 Dollars In Auto Damages

A second suit is filed against C Blakesies for 10000 dollars claiming injuries from a rear end collision on Telegraph road. Mrs Miller files 25000 dollars suit. Autos Kill Three More In Ohio and Missouri

Multiple fatalities in a string of midwest crashes. In Kansas City area resident Mrs. Jay Eschudy age 45 dies instantly when two cars collide near West Springfield. Four Mechudy family members are injured. In Dayton Walter Reigzel 35 is killed as a route bus collision injures his wife. Seven year old Harold Pratt is struck and killed by a car driven by Ralph Owen. In Ironton Mrs. C P Skidmore and her 15 month old child die crossing tracks after a freight train slips by. four year old son survives. A husband and three older children survive.

Army officers rule in Spain under martial law in Madrid

General Estella, named premier by the military directory, declares martial law across Spain and plans new administrative divisions and military districts. Parliament to be dissolved, Madrid patrolled by cavalry, while the directory runs affairs and press generally approves the change.

Fines for Three Liquor Violators Cut by Judge

County commissioners granted parole to three liquor law violators after Judge Webber requested a reduction of fines. Frank Heath of Eaton saw his fine drop from 500 to 200 dollars, Harry Baker of Grafton from 2000 to 500, and James Lifpico of Wellington from 500 to 300. The judge urged monthly payments on the remaining balances.

Aviator Major Napier Killed in McCook Field Crash

Dayton reports Major E. L. Napier flight surgeon at McCook Field died when his plane plunged to the field center from about 1500 feet. Witnesses say a wing broke. he attempted to bail with a parachute but did not survive. The wreckage crushed the craft and Napier was dead on arrival.

The Salvation Army seeks funds to aid brothers in Japan after the recent earthquake. Capt. Jeffries of the local station says much property was lost and rebuilding is needed, and efforts are under way to raise what money can be contributed.

Autos badly damaged in night collision

At 7 30 last night the Lepper Motor Sales Co car driven by Bud Cheevers was wrecked on Bellefield avenue after a truck driven by Henry Zaremba struck it from the rear. Zaremba headed toward Pagadena park with his lamps off and was found later with the lamps on his own car broken. Zaremba agreed to settle.
