Riggs Leads Avon Lake Backfield With Openers Dominant
Senior Konner Riggs rushed for 119 yards and two touchdowns at Elyria then 263 yards and four TDs against North Olmsted, fueling Avon Lake in a 31-28 win over rival Avon. Coach Kostelnik credits Riggs and o line for opening lanes as quarterback Jack Mikolich shines with six TD passes this season. The Shoremen emphasize the run to set up the passing game and guard their trap-game focus against winless Westlake.
