Youth Leases Animals for 4-H Projects in Fulton County
Wauseon Ohio reports 4-H leasing helps youths like Bill Gearig a high school freshman who uses a leased bay horse for county fair projects. The program avoids upfront costs and long-term upkeep while offering hands on learning and access for 20 to 25 members yearly. Leasing runs June through September, mainly breeding animals, not market stock, with no statewide Ohio program.
