Lorain County Traffic Deaths Dip In 1973
Lorain County reports 24 traffic fatalities this year versus 42 in 1972 at this time. National Safety Council data show 26 500 deaths in the first six months nationwide, the highest six month total ever. Local police credit luck and patrols, noting radar in cruisers curbed speeding and hope the trend holds into summer’s end.
