Lorain County prepares for its eighty fifth annual fair opening tomorrow at 5 p m gates to admit thousands. The event runs into Wednesday and Thursday with day and evening hours. Four Injured In Auto Accidents Reported Sunday
Four persons sustained injuries in separate automobile crashes reported to police and sheriff deputies Sunday. Leo Krugman, 40, of 158 Pasadena Avenue, received minor cuts and bruises when his car hit a telephone pole on Cleveland Street near Abbey Road around 4:00 a.m. He was taken to Memorial Hospital and said a truck crowded him off the road. Fred Ternes, 40, of Sugar Ridge Road near Abbey Road, suffered a fractured left shoulder and lacerations when his car collided with another driven by Mrs. E. A. Hamilton on Butternut Ridge Road near Cuyahoga County around 4:00 p.m. yesterday. Fred Dean, 45, of 105 Fairlawn Avenue, and Henry Dean, 36, of Ridgeville, also had minor injuries. Deputies investigated the crash, which reports say involved Dean’s car overturning several times.
