York International faces a multi jurisdictional suit seeking about 4.203 million in compensatory and 200 million in punitive damages after leaving Elyria Caldwell area, costing the city 1.5 million in income taxes and schools and county 145 million in property taxes. The complaint accuses York of breaking its abatement promises under enterprise zone agreements and seeks damages to recoup lost tax revenue and job cuts from March 2001 onward.
