Ohio coal boiler claims cleaner burn for high-sulfur fuel
Pedco Inc executives Lee Reed and William Long tout a Rotary Cascading Red Boiler tested at Hudepohl Brewing Co for a year. State support and Cincinnati UC data analysis aided development. The boiler burns high-sulfur Ohio coal with limestone scrubbers and plans to market from 20 000 to 100 000 pounds of steam per hour to industrial users.

Sears house story tied to Kenyon College healer’s home
In Gambier Ohio the 1909 Sears Modern Homes catalog edition shows a nine room house that resident physician Tracy Schermer has lived in since 1981. The house was built by Reginald Allen for his family and later donated to Kenyon College. Kate Allen, Schermer's teacher, influenced him to improve his reading. The Sears catalog sold hundreds of thousands of mail order homes with pre cut lumber nails and blueprints all delivered by rail.
