Midview OKs plan to place sector in Elyria district
The Midview Board of Education passed a resolution agreeing with an Elyria board plan to accept students from a developing area east and west of Abbe Road and north of Chestnut Ridge Road. Up to 700 homes on 240 acres near Abbe and Chestnut Ridge could send students to Elyria schools, though state approval and years of growth remain. The move risks an unusual load on Midview. Elyria says it cannot easily handle such growth with current facilities. Also approved were policy changes for transcript charges and several personnel actions including new teachers and resignations.
