Warning Issued On Motor Boats In Bathing Areas
Washington report notes motor boats cruising near bathers are as dangerous as cars in parks. H F Enlows of the American Red Cross cites high speed and swimmers’ difficulty exiting the water as the chief hazards. He reports more accidents this season, including two deaths, blaming propellers and urging bans and heavy penalties for boating near bathers.
