Avon District Considers Bond and Levy for School Growth
A local citizens group urges passage of a November bond issue and 3 mill operating levy to fund new buildings and ongoing school costs. The plan targets a 2 mill bond with $350 000 anticipated revenue and a 3 mill levy based on local property values amid rising enrollment and 435 high school students currently. District staff and teachers would be paid on established stipends, while students would pay for protective eyewear as part of industrial arts and chemistry programs.
