Motion Picture Aid in Catching Fugitives Demonstrated
A detective identified an escaped convict from an experimental film shown in Trenton last May, highlighting film and soundtrack as powerful tools for criminal identification. Colonel Schwarzkopf pioneered the film method, arguing motion pictures reveal appearance, posture, voice, and gestures to aid law enforcement and public vigilance. Traditional methods like fingerprinting and mugging remain, but screen footage enhances recognition, making hiding out harder as video and audio track fugitives.

Campaign funds from top families shape Maine race
In New York on September 12 1936 reports critique Republican campaign contributions from DuPont Sloane Morgans and Rocke as a tactical blunder against anti New Deal forces. Governor Smith’s Liberty League dinner appearance weakens opposition to the New Deal and reflects broader questions about wealthy support for Roosevelt and Landon.
