Kiwanians Hear Handwriting Expert on Forgery Detection
Lloyd Lb Jones of Cleveland presented at Hotel Billinghurst to Kiwanians, demonstrating handwriting analysis with slides to detect forgery. He called forgery the most intellectual crime and urged school lessons to deter crime. Jones has testified in about 600 forgery cases and helped organize a local Forgery Clinic. Distinguished visitors included Asaph F Jones and A R Tite as well as Elyria and Lorain members. President Shively announced 1937 officer elections. The Honolulu Lehua Island lighthouse figure notes its 709 feet above sea level but the beacon is only 10 feet tall.
