In Trieste a socialist revolt broke out with government troops firing continuously. Barricades and trenches appeared in the streets as artillery and rifles roared. Two socialists were armed with ammunition. clashes wounded several soldiers and civilians amid exchanges on the barricades.
The Lorain County Bottlers Association met yesterday to cut soft drink costs by 26 percent and set new bottle charges. Secretary William Gross and Treasurer OsbernAth led discussions aiming to reduce bottling losses by increasing a 50 cent return on bottles and redeeming drinks.
The Elyria library announces longer hours to 11 each day for public access. Grace M Petersen notes staff will assist within powers from 9 AM and on Sundays and bank holidays. Residents are urged to obtain a library card if they do not already have one.

Milton Winchell, operator of a general store on Lake Avenue, told police he scared away burglars who had gathered a large stock and were loading it toward a waiting truck headed toward Elyria. police did not see the truck.
The Home Garden annual exhibit opened this morning at the First Congregational church featuring the largest display in its history. Schoolchildren presented vegetables flowers and fruit on fourteen tables, with extensive displays by adults and many new flower varieties. The exhibit will run this afternoon evening and tomorrow afternoon.

The coroner ruled justifiable homicide, ending further inquest. Kochis, about 55, Elyrian, left eight sons and two wives dead. funeral plans expected Monday.

Raymond Bassett a 12 year old of River Street narrowly escaped instant death yesterday afternoon at Cascade Park when a shale rock about two hundred pounds broke free while he climbed. The rock fell and injured his right arm. he was taken to a hospital where doctors will attempt to save the limb. Park Warden Tom Monson had warned boys against playing near the unstable rocks.
