Russians Demand Full Details Of Every Berlin Flight
Berlin reports say Soviet authorities demanded full disclosure of every Air Force flight into Berlin with pilot names and takeoff times, a condition rejected by the United States. American officials called the demand an impossible and useless intrusion into established four power procedures. A Soviet letter delivered at the Air Safety Control Center prompted the response as Soviet bombers hovered nearby. Meanwhile anti-Communist protests in the British sector saw one German killed and seven wounded as troops and police fired.
