Ruffe invasion threatens Lake Erie walleye and perch
Biologists warn the ruffe, Gymnocephalus cernuus, is expanding from Lake Superior toward Lake Erie. They fear native yellow perch and walleye could decline as the slimy fish spreads through the Great Lakes.
