Prime Cut review at Midway Cinema with Hackman and Marvin
A chaotic thriller where Gene Hackman plays Mary Ann a Kansas rancher who owes Chicago 500000 and Lee Marvin hunts him down. The film mixes violent action with sharp visuals shot mostly in Canada and Kansas and features a lean dialogue style and tense score by Lalo Schifrin.

East Broad St sewer extension change eyed
The city proposes extending the East Broad Street sewer line with a revised plan pending council approval. The utilities committee backed removing a May 1 extension by 245 feet and instead extending about 750 feet west of the east city limit. The move followed protests from East Broad Street property owners who opposed the sewer and despite an assessment board recommendation to drop the plan. The committee also authorized city engineers to prepare plans and cost estimates for improving East Broad Street including a right turn lane from Abbe Road to Route 87 bypass, approved purchasing 500 magnetic water meters and couplings for up to 19000, and decided Euclid Street should not be included with Bond Street and Fairmont and Fillmore Avenues resurfacing. Chairman Richard Seward did not sign the report, awaiting assessment board hearing results next Thursday.
