Sudeten Germans refuse to resume talks until incident settled
Prague Sept. 9. The Sudeten German party led by Konrad Henlein declined to restart negotiations with the Czech government over the minority crisis until the Maehrisch Ostrau incident is liquidated. Dr Ernst Kundt said satisfaction with the Czech investigation is required before talks resume. Despite the stand, the government planned to publish its new minority offer, aiming to start negotiations this weekend. Demonstrations and police actions occurred at Freiwaldau Boehmisch-Krumau and Olmnetz amid tensions over suspected arms possession. The Sudeten leaders signaled willingness to negotiate on the government proposal once satisfaction is achieved, but insisted on changes to meet their demands.
