Veritable Army Mobilized to Speed California Grapes
A large national effort has formed to expedite unloading of California perishable goods, especially juice grapes. G A Leithner of the American Railway Association says 310 joint receivers and railroad terminal committees with over 5000 personnel are established nationwide to ensure prompt unloading and release of refrigerator cars carrying fruits and vegetables.
