High tech industry splits political contributions
In Silicon Valley the IT sector funds both parties as Republicans and Democrats tilt toward campaign giving. Through June individuals and PACs gave 1.8 million to Republicans and 1.6 million to Democrats, with industry leaders noting bipartisan activity amid a divided Congress and White House.
