Oberlin council OKs sewer rate notices and backflow rule
Oberlin City Council approved multiple utility ordinances including a mandatory sewer rate increase disclosure required by the EPA for a sanitary sewer project. The measure also sets rate components and upfront bills, with an expected $10 monthly rise for average users. The first reading of backflow device requirements was passed to protect water supply, with inspections and entry rights for noncompliance.
