Secretary of Agriculture Brannan, seated in a wheat colored chair, faces questions as he blames Republicans for price support troubles and grain dealers for selling wheat below two dollars a bushel. He fears a hostile new Congress could disrupt the price support system, while asserting peacetime adjustments may be overdue. The press conference accumulates hype but won’t lower living costs.
