Investigators probed debris after a Midwest Express Airlines DC-9 crashed nose-down near General Mitchell Field killing all 21 aboard. Witnesses described a sonic boom-like blast as the jet plunged to the ground from about 40000 feet shortly after takeoff en route Madison to Atlanta.
