Avon Lake Theatre to present eight plays based films series
Avon Lake Theatre will start in October a series of eight films based on famous plays. The films will be shown at local theaters including the National in North Olmsted and Beachcliff in Rocky River and in more than 500 theatres. Produced by Ely Landau for the American Film Theatre, the lineup includes works by Eugene ONeill Eugene Ionesco Harold Pinter Edward Albee John Osborne Simon Gray Anton Chekhov and Kurt Weill Maxwell Anderson. Subscriptions cost 30 for evenings 24 for matinees with no doorsales. first show runs October through May on Mondays and Tuesdays. Acclaimed actors Frederic March Katharine Hepburn Zero Mostel Paul Scofield will perform. directors include Olivier Pinter Frankenheimer.
