Oberlin grad returns to join Mercy Health
Dr. Dean Regis, an Oberlin College graduate, returns to Oberlin to join Mercy Health as part of the primary care team. He earned a BA from Oberlin with physics and African American studies, studied biomedical engineering at Columbia, and earned an MD from Howard University. He trained in Columbus, served as chief resident at Mount Carmel Family Medicine, and led as assistant program director for five years. His wife grew up in Oberlin, and he says the move lets him give back to a welcoming community.

The Wellington Community Theater opens auditions for A Christmas Carol live radio play today 4 to 7 pm at the Patricia Lindley Center. Lorain County JVS hosts a 9/11 ceremony at 8:46 am on campus with colors and an essay by students. Other activities include a Tiny House course from Sept 13 to June 20 for 2000 dollars, college planning night Sept 13, and the Oberlin walk to end Alzheimer's Sept 23.
