LaGrange Man Dies In Elyria Car Crash

A LaGrange man, Mark Oskins, 33, was killed when his four door sedan struck a large tree in the 400 block of West Avenue Elyria around 3 06 a m He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Lorain County Coroner's Office Firefighters assisted and LifeCare workers provided immediate care at the scene.

Motorcycle rider hurt after crash with pickup in Grafton Township

A Brook Park man Nicholas Mortensen, 19, was taken to MetroHealth Cleveland after his motorcycle hit a pickup at the intersection of Grafton Eastern Road and Cowley Road. Howard Hudak, 86, of Grafton drove a 2000 Toyota Tacoma south on Cowley Road. Witnesses told the Ohio Highway Patrol Mortensen sustained incapacitating injuries.

Labor Day Closings Affect Public Services and Trash Pickup

Government offices post offices banks schools and libraries are closed for Labor Day. Lorain County Community College and Allied Waste trash pickup are canceled with a one day delay ending Friday and rescheduled for Saturday.
