Survey shows progress in Ohio litter control program
A 1980 litter control act funded statewide surveys to track progress with a follow up in 1983. Denise King of the natural resources department says results show a noticeable reduction in litter despite not drastic changes. Previous results reported 199 pounds of litter per mile and 1,815 items per mile across Ohio, with $5.6 million awarded to 83 communities.
