New cooperative boys school planned for Elyria
A novel cooperative school will open in Elyria within two weeks for 25 to 80 boys aged 15 and over. They will work in local factories every other week, earning regular wages, and attend school the opposite weeks. The plan has board approval and funding from state and national sources under the Smith Hughes act. The article also notes a mandamus case ending and talks of Elyria Township incorporation disputes and the city safety fund being exhausted.
