The Ohio State Automobile Association accident prevention bureau released safety rules after a three month study of traffic crashes. Secretary Charles G. Jones says following them could have prevented about two thirds of recent club injuries and outlines key points on speed, signaling, brakes, and careless driving near railroad tracks and pedestrians.
Oil and water issues in car engines are explained with focus on gasket leaks between exhaust and water jackets and the risk of coolant contamination and power loss. The piece warns about worn bearings, gasket failure, and the need to flush coolant when signs appear.
A public safety notice urges pedestrians to listen for signals, use crosswalks, and not rush across. Emphasizes looking both ways, avoiding crossing between cars, and staying on the sidewalk until safe, as drivers may not anticipate pedestrians.

Mr and Mrs T E West their daughter Remona and foxhound Brady travel in a complete housekeeping automobile built on a Chandler chassis. The 7 ft 6 in wide 14 ft long 6 ft high body includes stove electric lights bed washstand and 30 days provisions in a 16 gallon water tank car. They will be at home for five years touring highways and byways across the United States and Canada.
