Jaguars receivers Mark Brunell Jimmy Smith and Keenan McCardell powered a 27 7 victory at Cleveland Browns Stadium converting 10 of 16 third down plays. Brunell found Smith for a 4 yard gain when 3 were needed and McCardell crossed mid field on an 8 2 yard throw. Browns defense struggled as Tim Couch showed flashes but Browns converted only 3 of 10 third downs. Petrak notes Browns young talent lagging behind in the opener.
