Police and FBI search for a white man about 6 feet tall and 150 to 160 pounds who robbed the Chase bank at 4100 E. Lake Road in the Shoreway Shopping Center using a note. The gunless heist left no injuries and a reward is offered for tips to (440) 949-7131.

Gas leak prompts evacuation at North Ridgeville High

Avon man charged after purse theft from acquaintance home
Avon police arrested 29 year old Anthony Ramos Jr. on theft and burglary charges after he allegedly feigned car trouble to gain access to a Lake Drive home and steal a purse containing cash credit cards and 45 Xanax pills. Ramos knew the homeowner and was found later on South Logan Street after a police search. He has prior charges dating to 2007 and awaits grand jury action in county court.
