Fuller housing receives 1.3 million HUD funds for renewal

HUD releases 1.3 million for the 52 acre Fuller Road redevelopment in Elyria as Mayor Reichlin announces the action by phone from Washington. Elyria to invest 250 000 to 400 000 locally. 104 families eight individuals and three businesses affected. 69 families displaced for renewal. 60 buildings to be cleared and 30 with major deficiencies. Some homes may be saved, project described as development not just razing.

Egg, a former Elyria bus operator, is wanted by Ashtabula County authorities on charges including shooting with intent to kill and burglary. Lorain 90 Days to Clean Landfill Or Face Closure
