Lorain police say two brothers, Jose Morales 35 and Angel Cruz 38, were shot at Westgate Garden Apartments on Leavitt Road. Morales died at the scene. Cruz died after medical transport. Maurice Kimbrough 29 was arrested on charges including tampering with evidence and weapons offenses.
Kim Green, 54, former South Amherst Clerk Treas, was sentenced to six months in Lorain County Jail with work release and five years probation for stealing about $677000 from the village. She must repay via restitution plans including house sale proceeds and lottery winnings, with John Green not charged.
