Seven swim to island after boat sinks in Lake Erie
Seven people aboard a 30 foot sports fisherman sank in Lake Erie near Sandusky. They swam to North Harbor Island on the Canadian side where Coast Guard rescue teams expect to pluck them from the water. The vessel was piloted by Kevin Gottro n of Fremont and owned by Happy Days Boating Co of Port Clinton. A Sandusky father planned another boat transfer to bring them back.
