Elyria Faces School Bond Issue to Upgrade Facilities

Elyria Public Schools seek voter approval for a bond issue to add 47 elementary classrooms and seven eighth grade centers, expand high school facilities, and build combined auditoriums and gymnasiums. The plan weighs cost with safety, aims to reduce class size, and projects a $3.58 per thousand levy with a 2.15 percent maximum interest rate. If rejected, overcrowding, longer travel, and stalled improvements threaten educational standards. The November vote will shape long term opportunities for Elyria students.

Shadowed Colorado Politician Returns Amid Tax Debacle

A austere figure known as Austere Shadow met Republican Colorado politician who unearthed income tax evidence against Blackmer. Blackmer, 80, flew back aboard a Stratoliner after lawyers arranged his return with hopes of avoiding jail. U.S. Attorney Max Bulkeley argued it would be inhuman to send him to law, noting penalties paid. Senator Tom Walsh of Montana, long wary of corporate skullduggery, spoke against the case, though he did not live to hear Bulkeley’s blunt critique.
