T-Bone Burnett Values Complex Rock And Daring Ambition
In a telephone interview from Los Angeles, singer guitarist T-Bone Burnett reflects on his career from Fort Worth roots to work with Bob Dylan on Rolling Thunder. He discusses his aim to blend complex music with big record sales, his shift from the Alpha Band to a solo path, his witty updat ed folk rock, and his stance on aging in rock while considering a future that might depart from teenaged rebellion. Burnett emphasizes Dylan’s influence while denying a born again label tied to Dylan’s Moral Majority era.
