Two Interstate Commerce Commission examiners recommended that the Pennsylvania Railroad and associates be allowed to acquire control of the Detroit Toledo and Trenton Railroad, formerly part of Henry Ford's industrial empire, in Washington.
The commission has not ruled yet on the proposal. Competing railroads will be allowed to lodge objections and hearings may be held before a decision. Examiners Paul Albus and Grace Eddy proposed granting Pennsylvania interests and Erie Railroad Co. permission to acquire control of the Springfield Suburban Railroad Co. in Ohio.
