Area crashes kill 6 persons in Vermilion accident
A two-vehicle collision at Routes 6 and 2 near Vermilion yesterday claimed four lives and left four others injured. Victims include Wanda Botts and her sisters Reesa Botts, both from Sheffield Lees, and Ronald Jancsi of Brooklyn. The incident began when Mary Ann Kennedy stopped to turn into a Holiday Inn lot, prompting Botts to switch lanes and strike a truck driven by Clair Snook.

Sheffield Lake man killed in Lorain chase crash
A high speed police pursuit through Lorain ended with 21 year old George E Robinson of 225 Cove Beach Rd dying when his car failed to navigate a curve at Lincoln Boulevard and Broadway. Robinson accelerated as officers closed in and sped toward South Lorain before crashing into two trees in Oakwood Park. The car disintegrated with engine, transmission, two fenders and a wheel scattered over a 100 foot radius. Robinson reportedly reached near 100 mph before the fatal impact. The victim lived with his parents, Edward and ... Robinson.
