Ohio cuts lead in preschool funding across states
The Associated Press reports Ohio reduced early childhood education funding more than any other state this year, cutting 11.5 million dollars in a two year budget, eliminating the Early Learning Initiative, and shrinking preschool funding by one third. GroundWork warns 12,000 children lose opportunities while officials claim some gains in overall preschool spending.

Delta trims 10 percent of flights at Cincinnati hub
Delta Air Lines reduces its Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky hub operations by 10 percent, cutting 25 daily flights and ending service to Charleston, Savannah, Tulsa, and Huntsville. The move leaves 190 daily departures and follows a prior 13 percent cut, sparking concern from officials over erosion of the hub amid ongoing Northwest merger and competition with Detroit and Minneapolis. Local business groups warn of diminished service and impact on the regional economy.
