Explosive charges were found in three letters addressed to President Nixon, Secretary Rogers, and Defense Secretary Laird. The envelopes were opened by security forces in Kiryat Shemona, near the Lebanese border, with blasts similar to a prior Amsterdam mail bomb campaign linked to an embassy official’s death.
