Witnesses Convention Draws 1433 Attend in Elyria

The Jehovah's Witnesses circuit convention at Wadsworth Central High School drew 1,433 in attendance including 108 from the Elyria congregation. A. C. Manera Jr. of New York spoke on The Watch Tower Society in Gods Purpose, noting the Kingdom of God and Armageddon. A mass baptism of 37 new ministers occurred, with district supervisor Manera reporting a record 1,140 ministers in Northern Ohio Circuit 1-B, a 20 percent rise. Evangelistic Meetings At First Baptist Church Begin

The Rev. Roy Gustafson of St. Petersburg Florida leads an eight day evangelistic series at First Baptist Church starting tomorrow through Sunday November 2. Seminary Groundbreaking Planned for Nov 28

Groundbreaking ceremonies for the Methodist Theological Seminary in Delaware Ohio set for November 28 at 2 30 p m. The seminary will serve ministerial students from Ohio Indiana Pennsylvania West Virginia and Kentucky. The 70 acre campus aims to hold 600 students within three years with a contract bid deadline of November 20 and original cost estimates at two million dollars.
