MOUNT VERNON Ohio judge refuses to move the trial of Herschel Jones III charged with aggravated murder in the January slaying of Danville Officer Thomas Cottrell. Jones's defense sought a delay citing anticipated death penalty publicity, but the judge said the request is premature though may be raised during jury selection.
A Lorain woman, Lourdes J. Rodriguez, 42, remains in critical condition after a head on collision on Route 113 near Clemens Avenue in Elyria Township. Christopher J. Gusky, 43, died.
