Lorain police seek a woman of Indian or Gypsy descent who swindled 60 year old Lorena Robertson of 3100 Elyvia Ave by a snake related ploy. The woman claimed to be named Mrs Long of 753 West Walnut St Elyria and convinced Robertson to place $153 in a handkerchief tied to her leg. the thief then took the money iron and radio and planned a return. The unknown woman stands about 5 ft 7 in, 165 pounds, with long straight hair, wearing a grey coat and suit.

Elyria Advances Sewage Plant Plans For 22 Million Project
Rev Elmer Stratton presented completed plans and specifications to city officials for Elyria’s enlarged sewage disposal plant. Havens and Emerson engineers Frank Palocsay filed the documents for review by Mayor Keys City Engineer KleinoeGex and Safety Service Director Lotko Jr. The project costs about 22 million funded by general obligation and revenue bonds with no tax duplication. Lorain to Debut Second Radio Station WWIZ Sunday
Lorain will launch its second radio outlet WWIZ at 11 30 am Sunday with a noon dedication. Sanford A Schafitz of Sharon Pa owns and operates WWIZ which began FCC hearings in 1956 and received final authority two days ago. The station, on 1380 kilocycles at 300 watts, will broadcast 6 am to sunset from a Broadway studio and a Sheffield Township transmitter. The $73000 project employs 10 staff with Lew Skelly as business manager and Jeff Baxter as program director and DJ. News comes from AP and local safety and community programming are planned.

Halloween Project Set By Echoes At Elyria YWCA
Little Echoes, a handicapped youth group, will decorate pumpkins during a weekly meeting tomorrow afternoon at the Elyria YWCA Holly Hall from 2 to 4. Mrs. Lampert leads the handicap committee with Mrs. Augustin assisting. About 15 handicapped youths attended last Saturday’s YMCA program. No meeting Saturday November 1. Echoes will attend a Halloween party next Friday 7:30 p.m. at the YWCA Residence hosted by ECHO.
