Amherst youths split on village curfew policy
Ten local youths including nine 16 year olds were surveyed on the village curfew passed by the council to clear streets by 9 40 p m weekly. Six favored the curfew and two opposed it with two saying it made little difference. Opinions cited limited activities and Halloween concerns.

Publicity Chairman Mrs John Koba announced a tone conference set for November. Prize winners were Mrs Ed Mathewson and Mrs Jerry Flock, with Mrs Ralph Thomas losing the attendance prize.

Amherst couple to celebrate 50th wedding anniversary
Mr and Mrs Rudolph Berger of 147 Crown Hill Ave Amherst celebrate their golden anniversary. They wed Oct 24 1908 at St Peters Evangelical Church and plan an open house Sunday from 2 to 5 pm. The pair, born in Oberlin and Switzerland respectively, have five daughters and two sons. Both are longtime St Peters members.

SOUTH AMHERST Plans were completed for the second annual Halloween Parade to be held Thursday. The volunteer fire department sponsors the event in conjunction with a football pep rally and home game with Firelands High School the next night. Fire Chief George Graybill reported trucks and equipment in good order. Steve Vilagi served refreshments.
