Reading indicates local organization plans a town parade with judging at the town hall. Prizes for attractively dressed groups include first and second place awards. The event features free treats and is organized by town committees with participants listed.
The Amherst Girl Scouts will attend church in a group with Brownies and Scouts for Girl Scout Sunday. Protestant faith members will worship at St. Peter's Evangelical and Reformed at 10:36 am, Catholics at St Joseph's for 9 am mass. Cub Scout Pack meeting ended with a note that no beginners swimming class will be held tomorrow at 12 45 pm. A weiner roast was held at Greenwood Park with many visiting troops and new scouts highlighted by several graduates including Webelos to Boy Scout status. Mrs Hilda Koch will speak at St Johns Evangelical and Reformed Church in South Amherst.
Sunday at 7 30 p m a public dress event in Berlin area invites attendance with no charge. Mrs Koch a Philadelphia resident linked to Rev Jerome Wenner formerly of Amherst speaks of Nazi refugee history. Area children bring home papers urging renewal of a recreation levy to fund center and summer program. Also includes a divorce notice for Donald Drum vs Bette Drum with hearing set after November 6 1952.
